Journalist and television presenter who is known for her work on the Nine News Morning Edition as well as for being the co-host on Weekend Today. She is also known for hosting the program Weekend Sunrise.

She first started her career in journalism working part-time as a reporter for The Sunday Telegraph in Brisbane. She then earned her degree in Journalism from Queensland University of Technology. She gained further recognition when she joined Nine News Morning Edition in 2008.

She is known for having co-hosted Nine’s Award-Winning coverage of the London Olympic Games where she conducted the first live interview with Prince William and Prince Harry.

While she was born in Iran, she grew up in Brisbane. She married David Gyngell and together they had two children.

She worked alongside Cameron Williams when she co-hosted the Sydney New Year’s Eve telecast.
